Belarusian, Russian central banks sign transfers oversight deal

September 16, BPN. The Belarusian and Russian central banks signed an agreement to share information on bank transfers.

The accord is aimed at “countering unauthorized money transfers, including those made using electronic means of payment,” Belarus’ National Legal Internet Portal reported on September 16.

It defines oversight as central bank activities to ensure effective and safe functioning of payment systems and participants transferring funds across borders.
