Rubel slides against euro, US dollar

September 16, BPN. The Belarusian currency has depreciated against the euro and the US dollar at this week’s final trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It slid to 2.5339 rubels per euro and 2.5355 per dollar. At the same time, it strengthened to 4.2216 per 100 Russian rubles and 3.6044 per 10 yuan.

Last week (September 5-9), the Belarusian currency rose by 0.19 percent against the Russian ruble and by 0.01 percent against the Chinese yuan. At the same time, it dropped by 0.18 percent against the US dollar and by 1.08 percent against the euro.

The rubel strengthened by 0.34 percent against the US dollar to 2.5567 between January and August 2022.
