Łukašenka disranks dozens of former security officers, prosecutors

September 19, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has disranked over 80 former security officers and prosecutors.

His edict cites offenses and misdemeanors “incompatible with the serviceman or prosecutorial worker status,” his press office reported.

This includes disclosure of official secrets, participation in unauthorized rallies and making extremist statements, it said.

Łukašenka also demoted former servicepeople participating in foreign armed conflicts.

He had issued a similar edict in 2021, the press office recalled.
