Belarusians keep fighting for a country safe for its neighbors – opposition politician

September 21, BPN. Belarusians have not given up the fight for change and will be able to turn Belarus into a safe country for its neighbors, Pavieł Łatuška, former diplomat and a member of the opposition’s transition cabinet, said in a video address.

“Some say the Belarusians have given up, that they don’t resist and don’t want to fight,” he noted. “But let’s look at what is happening today in Belarus – a daily roundup of detentions, arrests, and new sentences. Sentences of 10, 15, 17 years in prison. If anyone thinks that Belarusians have surrendered, let them read this information every day.”

The politician stressed that the struggle would lead to a new democratic Belarus, which will not pose threats to its neighbors.
