Russia, Belarus holding security consultations in Moscow

September 21, BPN. Senior security officials from Belarus and Russia are holding bilateral security consultations in Moscow on September 21.

The talks involve Rashid Nurgaliyev, deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, and his Belarusian counterpart Alaksandr Nieviaroŭski, Russia’s Kommersant reported, citing a press statement from Russian Security Council.

On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the immediate call-up of 300,000 reservists to support Moscow’s military campaign in Ukraine.

Alaksandr Łukašenka stressed the previous day that Belarus would stick with Russia and ordered officials to check the readiness of Belarusian troops.
