Belarus sends first train with peat to China

September 22, BPN. The first train carrying 62 containers of peat has left Belarus for China, the energy ministry has said.

The peat would be used in agriculture, it said.

Belarus’ Turšoŭka plant implements the project together with Chinese agricultural technology company Lenundao (name as received).

“We assume that the freight is the beginning of extensive cooperation between the two sides. There are plans to expand it in the future by sending 50 more containers with Belarusian peat to China,” the ministry said.

It added that two other Belarusian peat plants could send their products to China in the future.
