Ukraine not afraid of Belarusian army – Belarusian volunteer paramedic
September 26, BPN. Ukraine has no fear of the Belarusian army at all, Ruslan (name changed), a paramedic with the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Belarusian volunteer regiment fighting Russia in Ukraine, told BPN.
“Guys who served in Belarus said that they collected and counted shell casings there after shooting practice,” he said. “Conscripts have firing exercises once in six months, while some of them never shoot a gun.”
The most combat-ready units number around 5,000 servicemen, the volunteer said, noting that Alaksandr Łukašenka relies on them for holding on to power, so he would not risk sending them to Ukraine.
If Belarus sends troops to Ukraine, the best way out for them would be either to surrender immediately or to fight Russia together, he added.
