January 20, BPN. The Belarusian defense ministry has said health requirements for enlistees and contract soldiers would be “corrected.”
“There are objective reasons for this, primarily the fact that citizens often complain that health standards are too high and do not allow young people to make their dream come true and become soldiers,” said Śviatłana Kašura of the Main Military Clinical Medical Center.
This comes amid concerns in Ukraine that Belarus may back Russia’s potential major offensive in 2023.
