Rubel slides against US dollar, euro

February 24, BPN. The Belarusian currency has slid against the US dollar and euro at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It traded at 2.7994 rubels per dollar and 2.9888 rubels per euro on February 24.

At the same time, it climbed to 3.7432 per 100 Russian rubles and 4.0766 per 10 yuan.

In the outgoing week (February 20-24), the rubel rose against its major peers: by 0.46 percent against the greenback, by 0.47 percent against the euro, by 0.15 percent against the yuan and by 0.31 percent against the Russian currency.

The rubel strengthened by 3.27 percent against the dollar in January following a 7.39 percent plunge against it in 2022.
