Rubel up against US dollar, yuan at BCSE

January 12, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 3.1537 against the US dollar at the January 12 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It also climbed to 4.3793 per 10 Chinese yuan but fell to 3.5755 per 100 Russian rubles.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.4754 against the euro.

In the outgoing week (January 8 – 12), the rubel rose 1.4 percent against the greenback, 1.3 percent against the yuan and 0.69 percent against the euro but fell 1.91 percent against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost 16.12 percent of its value against the dollar in 2023.
