Łukašenka: if Russia makes deal with US, Europe and Ukraine utterly finished

March 13, Pozirk. “If Russia makes a deal with the United States, Europe and Ukraine will be utterly finished,” Alaksandar Łukašenka has said at a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin after their talks in Moscow.
The Belarusian ruler added that Europe has taken a shortsighted position on Ukraine.
“And, most importantly, they won’t be able to fool us again. We know our goals and interests, and in this situation, when they wiped the floor with [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky in the White House and elsewhere, he should use his brain, sit down [at the negotiating table] and make a deal among the three Slavic nations [Ukraine, Russia and Belarus],” Łukašenka said.
“No one will help Ukraine. At the beginning of the war, the Americans did not raise the issue of rare earth metals, but they do now. They will take away your black soil and rare earth metals. God willing, they don’t take all the rest. That’s why he [Zelensky] or the new president will crawl back here [to him and Putin]. And he will lean on us. Somebody wants us to kill each other. We understand it, but the other side [Ukraine] does not,” Łukašenka said.
At the same news conference, Putin responded to the US ceasefire proposal. He agreed that fighting in Ukraine must end but said that any plan must lead to “enduring peace.”
Minsk has supported Moscow since the outset of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
