Minsk artist Natalla Karniejeva, husband arrested, 10-year-old daughter taken to orphanage
August 22, BPN. Minsk-based artist, ceramics master and educator Natalla Karniejeva was arrested, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported on August 22.
According to the center, this happened on August 19. The reasons for the arrest have not been revealed. Karniejeva’s husband was also detained.
As a result, the couple’s 10-year-old daughter was taken to an orphanage.
Radyjo Svaboda learned that Karniejeva has an older, adult daughter who is now fighting for custody of her sister.
