Belarus lowers export duties on oil and oil products

August 31, BPN. From September 1 onwards, Belarus will apply lower export duties to oil and oil products leaving the Eurasian Economic Union’s common customs area. The Council of Ministers issued a decree to this effect on August 30, the National Legal Internet Portal reported.

The duty rate on crude oil, fuel oil, bitumen, petroleum jelly, petroleum wax and used oil products will be reduced from $53 to $52 per 1 tonne. The rate on straight-run gasoline will decrease from $29.1 to $28.6. The rate on commercial gasoline, diesel oil, light and middle distillates, benzene, toluene, xylenes and lubricating oils will decrease from $15.9 to $15.6.

The duty rates on crude oil and its derivatives last changed on August 1, when they fell after an increase in July.
