September 2, BPN. The rubel fell by 0.82 percent on average at cash exchange offices from January to the end of August 2022, from 2.5674 to 2.5463 rubels per one US dollar, the BPN’s analysis of quotes announced by Belarusian banks’ head offices has found.
Last month, the average dollar purchase rate dropped by 2.82 percent, from 2.6029 to 2.5295 rubels. The average selling rate dropped by 3.34 percent, from 2.6516 to 2.5631.
Over the eight months of last year, the rubel rose by 4.46 percent against the dollar at cash exchange outlets, from 2.6194 to 2.5026 rubels. The rubel appreciated by 1.99 percent in 2021.
