September 2, BPN. About 75 percent of Belarusian farms either perform well or need some support, while the remaining are absolutely inefficient and “must be saved because of the people there who want to work,” Alaksandr Łukašenka said during his visit to the Krupki district, Minsk region.
He suggested saving the lossmakers either by giving them new plots to set up new farms or by “attaching” unprofitable farms to profitable industrial companies.
