EPAM Systems CEO discusses IT hub with Kazakh president

September 20, BPN. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and EPAM Systems CEO Arkadź Dobkin have discussed efforts to set up a fully-fledged technological hub in Kazakhstan in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, Tokayev’s press office reported.

EPAM is an American IT company founded back in 1993 by Belarusian businessmen Arkadź Dobkin and Leanid Łozner, operating both in the U.S. and Belarus. In 2021, it featured in S&P 500 and Forbes Global 2000, generating revenue of $3.76 billion, with a net profit of $482.6 million.

EPAM was expanding its business in Belarus before the 2020 presidential election. It started relocating its staff to other countries amid the political crackdown and Russia’s war against Ukraine.
