Minsk pulls plug on one more Belarusian news website

September 21, BPN. The Belarusian information ministry has blocked access to the news website Blizko.by. The reasons for the move remain unclear.

The website covered events in Minsk and Belarus with a focus on local communities. It also provided coverage of the war in Ukraine.

Blizko.by has 14,000 subscribers in its Viber group, 11,300 on Instagram and about 800 on Telegram. Its social media have not been updated since September 20.
