Belarusian, Russian security chiefs say committed to stronger strategic partnership

September 21, BPN. Belarusian Security Council head Alaksandr Valfovič and his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev have expressed their commitment to strengthening strategic partnership.

Meeting in Moscow, they paid special attention to planning “joint counter-terrorism activities,” the Russian Security Council said on its website.

They also discussed a biological threat from the USA and NATO. Meanwhile, Belarusian Security Council deputy head Alaksandr Nieviaroŭski and his Russian counterpart Rashid Nurgaliyev held consultations on Ukraine.

The US trying to destroy the global security architecture and boost NATO’s presence near the Russia/Belarus border is a serious reason to update the Union State’s strategic security documents, the parties concluded.
