September 27, BPN. Turkey’s flagship airline, Turkish Airlines, has once again extended the suspension of flights between Minsk and Istanbul until December 31.
Turkish Airlines said earlier that it suspended passenger air service between the two cities until October 31.
The restrictions are caused by Russia’s war against Ukraine, resulting in the closure of the skies over Ukraine and partially over Belarus and Russia to civil aviation for security reasons.
The Belarusian national airline Belavia currently operates flights to Istanbul as well as charters to Antalya and Bodrum.
