December 15, Pozirk. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja suggested setting up a study program for Belarusian students during her visit to Ghent University in Belgium.
The politician also discussed scholarships for students and researchers from Belarus, her press office reported.
In her guest lecture on fight for freedom in Belarus, Cichanoŭskaja said that people should hold on to their standards of humanity, keep faith and stand by their values, noting that dictatorships destroy human souls by cultivating apathy.
Ghent University offers more than 200 academic programs to about 50,000 enrolled students, including 10 Belarusians.
