Koŭšyk: “We should save abroad what is threatened at home”

March 27, Pozirk. Alina Koŭšyk, in charge of ethnic identity promotion in the opposition’s cabinet, has urged foreign diplomats to support Belarusian cultural projects at a Freedom Day briefing organized by the Canadian embassy in Poland.
“Remember that now we should save abroad what is threatened at home,” Koŭšyk said, according to the cabinet’s press office.
She talked about issues in education, culture and history, as well as “steps to support national values and civil society.”
Belarusian cultural figures took part in the meeting, including Elina Kałnibałockaja of the Belarusian Council for Culture, Iryna Kozikava of Belarusian PEN, poet Aleś Płotka, writer Alaksandar Čarnucha and DJ Alaksandar Bahdanaŭ.
